and start to learn that you are MUCH more capable than you give yourself credit for. I remember the day about 3 years ago when my now 14 year old (15 in a month) came bounding into the kitcehn one morning as I prepared breakfast, with a big smile on her face, to say "Dad guess what.. My first period started". Yep.. Not the most comfortable moment for most fathers.. or for me. But I made a choice to be there, so I had to think how best to deal with it. And I consiously decided that "go talk to your mother about it" was NOT an acceptable way for me to handle it. So I simply did the best I could with the obvious stuff that any who's been married for any length of time should know .. Do you have pads and/or Tampons.. Are you feeling ok have you prepared an "emergency -" to leae in your locker at school Did you read about it on the Internet (tehn I helped her find some articles).. You need to decide if you want to tell your g/f or keep this to yourself.. and so on. If you wish to be a father, then step up to the plate. don't expect ANYONE to do it for you. It's YOUR job.. YOUR responsibility. And as a father myself, I'm sure that you CAN find far more capability that you expected to exist. One small suggestion that I have, is to hand around the school playground with your after school when you get a, and talk to the other parents there. If you are puzzling how to handle some issue with your kid, just ask other parents how THEY handle the same thing. You'll be amazed how easy it is once you get the of it.
